Boys named named after U.S. President Barack Obama pose for a photograph inside their classroom at the Senator Obama primary school in Nyangoma village in Kogelo, west of Kenya's capital Nairobi, June 23, 2015. When Barack Obama visits Africa this month, he will be welcomed by a continent that had expected closer attention from a man they claim as their son, a sentiment felt acutely in the Kenyan village where the 44th U.S. president's father is buried. Mama Sarah Obama Foundation’s work is supported by donations from generous groups and individuals. We gratefully accept gifts and donations of any size in support of our work to uplift our communities and educate children; giving them a fighting chance for a brighter future.

These gifts are critical for us to continue to offer comprehensive services. Donations of $1,000 or more will be recognized in our annual giving program, Champions for Children, as well as any promotional materials. Any money you give will positively impact the lives of the children and the communities we serve. Children are vulnerable but even more so in times of economic stress and uncertainty. That’s why our work – and your support – is more important than ever. Your help is needed and is greatly appreciated.
