Construction of a Medical Health Center

The educational success of children is predicated on their good health.

Understanding this reality, the Mama Sarah Obama Foundation helps fund a modest clinic within its environs. The clinic’s existence sprung from the need to address immediate, treatable and low-cost illness inflicting its student population. However, given the overwhelming needs of children in nearby areas, the clinic treats over 200 children annually

Today, the clinic is in dire need of an upgrade, the skeletal infrastructure of the clinic cannot meet the increasing needs of the community. The Foundation seeks to build a state-of-the-art medical health center in Kogelo, Kenya to service the medical needs of the children, orphans and their families. This center will fill a critical gap in the community since the closest clinic is approximately 50 miles away. The new health center will serve approximately 2000 people annually.
